Instructions for applying Vinyl Lettering

Instrucitions for applying Vinyl Lettering

1.  The Decorative Wall Lettering can be used on glass, mirror, wood, any hard surface.  It will not harm your paint.

2.  Turn the vinyl sheet over and remove the paper backing on the word strip by gently separating and peeling the paper backing from the tape.  If a letter does not detach from the paper (sticking to the tape) – lay the tape back down and rub the letter firmly with a smooth, hard implement.

3. Once you have removed the paper backing, carefully lay the tape with the letters on it, on your surface.  Lay the tape lightly on the surface and measure the distance from the edges of the surface to the letters, adjusting the strip to make sure they are straight.  Once you are sure they are straight, carefully press the tape to the surface.  Check your measurements again, adjust as necessary, and then press the tape down firmly and rub each letter with your finger, causing the letters to stick to the board.

4. Starting from one corner, carefully lift off the tape, allowing the letters to transfer onto the surface.  If a letter does not transfer, lay the tape down and again rub that letter to have it transfer to the surface.

At this point, if you wish to adjust any individual letter, using something sharp like an exacto knife, or tweezers and carefully lift the edge of a letter, pulling it off the surface, and lay it back down in the new desired position.  When the tape has been completely removed, and the letters are all in the position you desire, rub the letters with your fingers.
